Happy Friday! As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting as much frequently, I've been busy keeping up with now 8 week old Axel :). Although it's technically Fall, we had some incredible weather last weekend, it was above 70 degrees! I don't say that with enthusiasm because we all know I'm about the sweater weather all year long.
We have two guest appearances on the blog today, baby Axel and the infamous Cash. As you can see, making a fashion statement is the least of his concerns. Now that I'm a mom of two (which I still can't believe), I'd like to share with you how I manage to run my cosmetic business and still find time for self-care with two little fellas needing my undivided attention. Head on over to KUWK for more...
Happy Monday! It's my first official Fall post of the year but the weather has still been feeling like Summer. Mother Nature, let's get on the same page here. Wearing mens clothes during my pregnancy was actually quite comfy so post pregnancy I'm still keeping the menswear in rotation until I drop a few pounds of baby weight. While this Star Wars T-Shirt may be comfy and stylish, I know nothing about Star Wars and have never seen any of the movies, oh the things we do for fashion. You can check out the "Shop My Favorites" section at the bottom of the page to see similar options for this look. Thanks for reading and have a fabulous week!
P.S., head on over to my IG (@kaiye_marie) to see the latest picture of baby Axel and check me out in October's issue of Madison Magazine!
Happy Monday! And happy end of Summer as well :). As you can see, I'm backkkk but this time without the baby bump and I'm ready to get back to the slayage just in time for my favorite season.
Baby Axel is two weeks old now so while I'll revamp my wardrobe to add new pieces I'm still getting use out of my staple pieces. For this look I took one of my favorite H&M dresses and tucked the collar in for this collarless flared dress look. I'm still NOT a fan of these Zara boots (I'm obsessed with the color and velvet) but they slide down my legs every time I wear them :(. You can check out the "Shop My Favorites" section at the bottom of the page to see similar options for this look.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to my post maternity comeback!
Happy Wednesday! I officially have FOUR weeks left until my due date and I'm starting to feel like I'm going to turn into that mommy blogger that's always posting my baby. My oldest son Cash isn't too much into fashion nor taking pictures, so I'm definitely going to use this baby to my advantage. As the time nears it'll be time to pack my hospital bag so I'll be doing a what's in my hospital bag post in the coming weeks.
Over the weekend I went to the Farmer's Market and got a ton of compliments on this simple chic look. You can shop my look by following the links above. Thanks for reading and have a glamorous day!
Happy Fri-Yay! Who's going to enjoy a nice bottle of Coke today? I don't drink pop, but whenever I do which is once in a blue moon it's never dark. The baby bump is growing faster by the week and with 6 weeks left I don't plan on buying maternity clothing (not that I did to begin with), instead I'll just keep stealing items from the guy's wardrobe.
My feet have been starting to swell off and on and I've been getting more back and hip pain so it's very seldom I get to put on any of my cute heels these days. These JC's ones are some of my favorites because they're comfortable yet they manage to give me extreme anxiety each time I wear them because all I can focus on is not getting them dirty lol.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a glamorous weekend! P.S., Fall is in the air *runs to rearrange closet for new Fall items*.
Happy Wednesday! 45 days left of my pregnancy journey and dressing the bump is giving me a run for my money. My belly sits low, so wearing pants of any form has been quite uncomfortable. For this look I paired this cute chambray shift dress with these wide leg pants for a flowy breathable summer look.
I also whipped out my favorite JC loafers (so I thought) until I realized my sole is starting to detach *insert angry face*. I've literally only worn them like 4 times since I've owned them! Don't fret, if you love the style/color as much as I do then I've linked a similar pair where you'll get more wear for your buck. Don't forget to shop my favorites at the bottom of the page to create a similar look. Thanks for reading!
Happy Wednesday! I know I haven't been posting much lately, but this pregnancy has me all over the place. Some days I'm energetic, some days all I want to do is eat, sleep and Netflix. I'm officially at 30 weeks now, so with the weeks winding down I've also been spending more time with my family before baby boy makes his arrival. Thanks for reading and have a glamorous day!
Happy Monday! I hope everyone is enjoying their Summer so far! With my ever growing baby bump, I've been looking for great deals for Summer items and found this cute pleated dress from H&M for a whopping $4 and it's currently available in 4 colors. I love this dress as it is versatile and you could even style it with linen pants for chic summer look.
I recently launched my accessory line Sincerely, KAIYE by KéNisha Ruff so be sure to check it out! I have 6 tassel keychains available in 3 sizes that can be used as a keychain or bag charm for your purse (as shown in this blog post) new styles will be added over the upcoming weeks. Thanks for reading :).
It's finally Fri-Yay! I'm officially at 27 weeks of pregnancy and this week has been trying! I'm currently working on expanding SBK but this massive heat wave this past week has left me anxious, irritable and extremely hot! I even went out for a walk one morning at around 6:30 am and it was already 80 degrees, we all know I'm anti summer :(.
Here are a few summer tips for the pregnant mommas that I recommend to stay cool this weekend:
- STAY HYDRATED! My S'well water bottle has been my best friend. While I hate lugging the huge thing around, the cool marble print design makes me feel fancy and it keeps drinks cold for 24 hours.
- I've noticed my feet have been swelling a little bit lately, making all my cute heels uncomfortable. I've also been craving a ton of salty food which is a NO GO. Cut back or if you can, completely cut out the salt and keep your feet alleviated.
- Save outdoor tasks for early mornings and evenings. The midday heat is torture!
- Since drinking is frowned upon (although I may or may not have had a glass of wine here or there) I found a good Mocktail recipe to sip on while chilling in the shade. Combine 6 ounces frozen coconut yogurt, 1/2 a frozen banana, 1/2 of a 20-ounce can of crushed pineapple, and 1 cup milk; blend until smooth.
- And lastly, SUNSCREEN! I wear hats a lot which works for me plus sunscreen in my makeup or moisturizer.
Happy Monday! I'm a few days late but Happy June as well :). We're half way through 2017 and I can't believe it. I'm now at week 25 of pregnancy and I'm still rocking my pre maternity clothing. I love this flared waist band skirt because it balances out my proportions and makes my baby bump less visible (not that I'm trying to hide it). Have a glamorous Monday and double up on the frappe's today!
Happy Fri-Yay! I love mixing different textures together to create contrast for an edgy chic look. Jackets have been my best friend during my second trimester as the baby bump is growing and I need all the extra room I can get. Oversized jackets are versatile so I recommend having at least 3 in neutral colors in your closet. Have a glamorous weekend!
Happy Tuesday! It's a big day here in my Glamourland as I'm celebrating 3 years of SBK Blogging! The past 3 years have been nothing short of a whirlwind of amazing opportunities and I'm looking forward to expanding. Check out my 3 Year Blogiversary Special here.
I remember when I use to NEVER wear white because of the anxiety of being afraid of getting dirty, that anxiety was in full effect again with this white and black number. Transitioning my wardrobe through pregnancy has been quite the challenge, one tip, go flow-y!
Happy Fri-Yay! I love mixing different shades together to create a vibrant playful look. The lemon and mustard contrast makes me daydream of laying out in the sun drinking lemonade ;). As you've noticed, I'm a huge fan of A+O and I found my exact shoes for you at a incredibly great price! I'm actually quite jealous that I paid full price and now they're under $100. So get your hands on them while you can!
Happy Wednesday! It's amazing what a moto jacket can do for an outfit. It takes it from boring to edgy in a snap. I paired this cropped moto with high waisted wide leg pants for a chic weekend look. This week is going to be all about moto jackets. Stay tuned!
Also, head on over to KUWK to drop your questions for Champagne Lifestyle with Kaiye. Or you can simply email me or message me on social media!
Happy Monday and Happy May! I've officially hit 20 weeks and find out the gender today! *Throws confetti* Long trenches are the perfect versatile piece. Here I styled my Ellison trench as a dress, you could also pair this look with sneakers for a more relaxed vibe.
SBK 3 year Blogiversary is coming up and there's some newness coming as well! Be sure to stay tuned for more details coming later this week :).
Full fledge introvert, full fledge misanthrope. I love a good statement piece and I've been eyeing this vintage style army jacket for a really long time. I finally cracked and made the purchase a couple months ago and its been in heavy rotation ever since. While this piece may cause controversy for some, if you have a dry sense of humor like I do you totally get it. Of course I don't literally hate everyone but people can make you feel that way sometimes.
Now to the kicks, these shoes are so comfortable! I'm regretting not getting the pink pair as well, but since green is one of my favorite colors, I'm obsessed with bows and Rihanna is my BFF *in my head of course* I definitely wasn't going to pass these babies up. Have a glamorous rest of the week!
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter weekend. We finally had some good weather this weekend in Madison so I made sure to take advantage of it.
I'm officially at 18 weeks now, so shift dresses will be in heavy rotation this Spring. You can find a ton of cute ones at Tobi so be sure to check them out! Side note, I just realized my outfit matches the water, how cool! And no, that wasn't done intentionally :),
Happy Fri-yay! Shift dresses always make me feel so girly and flirty. I don't typically wear mauves so I decided to step out of my comfort zone this time around and I like it! For some contrast I paired one of my favorite Spring coats with nude accessories. This dress would be perfect to transition from day to night or for a vacation getaway somewhere tropical. Have a glamorous weekend ;).
Happy Monday! I absolutely LOVE shirt dresses, they're one of my wardrobe must haves. They're stylish, comfortable and versatile. Here I dressed mine up with these over the knee boots and a flared pink coat. But you could also pair it with sneakers, sandals and slides as well!
Happy Fri-Yay! I'm celebrating my 29th birthday today so it'll definitely be a good day!
Spring is officially here which means maxi dresses are in! Now that I'm officially 17 weeks pregnant today, comfort is key for me right now. This cuffed maxi dress from Pink Blush definitely suits my needs! While I do photograph tall, in real life I'm only 5'2, so if you're anywhere near my height expect the dress to be on the longer side. I added this waist belt and booties to shorten the height some but I'll definitely be taking it in to be shorten so I can wear thi maxi with flats and sneaker as well.
Pink Blush is a trendy online boutique that offers maternity and womens clothing. A lot of you have been messaging me about maternity style so I highly recommend this boutique! I'm also hosting a giveaway if you'd like a chance to try Pink Blush for yourself. Details below!
- Follow me on FB @styledbykaiye or IG @kaiye_marie
- Follow Pink Blush on FB @PinkBlush Maternity/Womens or IG @shoppinkblush
I've officially hit my second trimester (15 weeks) and my closet is starting to notice it. From multiple outfit changes trying to find something that fits, to random food cravings. This baby and maternity style is in full force now! What better way to slim down? All black of course! I'm just mainly trying to take advantage of still being able to wear waist belts for a small time left this Spring ;). Have a glamorous rest of your week!
It's officially Spring, YAY! I recently went to DSW with a friend and found these cute burgundy booties on the clearance rack and they've been in heavy rotation since. The only downside is, don't wear them in the rain or snow or your feet will be soaking wet and the color will start to bleed :(.
Sleeveless coats are one of my many Spring wardrobe must haves. Right after this shoot I thought of another way to style this coat so you'll be seeing that in my Glamourland as soon as the weather warms up a little bit. Have a glamorous rest of the week!
Are you ready for the pregnancy style coming to my Glamourland? I wasn't officially ready to make this announcement yet and I tried to suck in my tummy during this shoot but it obviously did me no justice haha. Can we talk about these navy boots? Because you need them in your life and they're currently on sale so get them if you can!
Spring is almost here and last years limited edition Marie Hunter Beauty Vibrant Lipsticks are back. Stock up now as they're perfect for Spring and Summer!
I've been out of commission due to my MacBook deciding it was time to go to computer heaven but now I'm back in action! Mixing shades of red and pink today in my Glamourland. These velvet OTK boots and metallic lip clutch are always eye catchers whenever I'm out. I've found a pair of similar boots for $50 so get them before they're gone!
Also head over to KUWK for a little Monday inspiration! Have a fabulous day, but don't forget the coffee ;).
Happy Fri-Yay! I'm so in love with my KC Jagger backpack that I found for a steal! I originally purchased it to use for work but unfortunately it doesn't fit my MacBook as expected but that doesn't stop me from using it everyday. Get your hands on it if you can and have a glamorous weekend!
Note* For the sweater dress, it's actually a cable knit sweater, I recommend ordering 3 sizes up.
Dark neutral tones are life, but every once in a while a little pop of color doesn't hurt ;). If you live in the Midwest like I do and love statement shoes, I highly suggest spraying them with water repellent. Snow, rain and dirt on shoes are a no go and the Suede & Nubuck Care Kit will be your BFF this season. See how I threw one of my secrets in there? :D
Happy Holidays! These OTK Red Velvet Zara boots have me ready for the holiday weekend! Velvet is one of my all time favorite fabrics so these were a must have, and while I do love the color and fabric, these are NOT skinny leg friendly. They're very loose so I recommended for my ladies with thicker thighs and calves.
And to keep you all updated, I have some sad but inspirational news that I will be releasing soon that will become an exclusive part of the Marie Hunter line. Have a safe and glamorous holiday weekend!
Happy Wednesday! It has been extremely cold here in Wisconsin, you know, the kind of weather that makes your face hurt and you wonder why you live here. Even the grocery store was out of hot chocolate this weekend, thats when you know it real :D. Have a glamorous rest of your week!
Green is one of my favorite colors, it's such a pretty color to pair with pops of color such as this rust color. I know everyone is always obsessing over these JC Perouze boots as much I do, so I've linked the newer style of these boots so get your hands on them before they're gone! I recommended ordering a half size up as they run small, I'm sad the blue color is already sold out in my size :(. Have a good rest of the week everyone!
Happy Monday! I love, love, LOVE these Aldo Haskova boots! So much so that it took me forever to finally get my hands on them. Being that they're a hot commodity, they're no longer available but I did link a similar pair that I believe may be the newer style of them. Have a glamorous week everyone and head on over to KUWK for this week's inspiration!
Happy Fri-Yay! This Kiss Up Metallic clutches is one of my favorite accessories minus the fact that its too small to put much of anything in it. I like to keep my Marie Hunter lipstick, credit card and ID in it, because thats pretty much all it holds unfortunately.
Sweater weather, I definitely love versatile pieces, and this sweater cape is one of my go to items in the cooler months. I've linked a similar poncho above. Hope everyone has a glamorous weekend!
Let's talk about my obsession with these JC rust tone thigh high boots, they give me life! And they're perfect for ladies with smaller legs like me, they fit like a glove! This shade is no longer available but I've linked a pair thats just as glam :). Also, head on over to KUWK to see what's new with Marie Hunter Beauty!
This past weekend adventures lead us the Wollersheim Winery & Distillery in Prairie Du Sac, WI so of course we had to take pictures and buy wine :). It was beautiful weather, a beautiful scenery and TONS of people. I'll definitely be taking another journey back before Fall is over.
Who said you can't wear white other Labor Day? Here in my Glamourland we don't follow that rule and as far as I'm concerned, that rule no longer exists at all :). As Summer is still trying to sneak its way over into Fall, white is a great transitioning color, today I paired it with wine colors and a pop of orange on my lips. Have a glamorous week!
Happy Fri-Yay! Sweater weather is in full effect, which means we all need a GOOD pair of leggings. I had been eyeing the Aritzia Daria leggings for quite some time, and it took me a couple of months before I finally took the plunge to make the purchase. And I can say after several wears and washes these are definitely worth the price tag! Check them out, you won't be disappointed :).
Happy Fri-Yay! The Fall weather has been strange here in Wisconsin, which still means I have time to incorporate my Spring/Summer wardrobe into my Fall wear. You can't go wrong with a pussy bow blouse and fringe heels for a pop of color. MH Curtain Call has been one of my go to Fall lip shades lately, its perfect for anytime of the day and outfit! Have a glamorous weekend!
Happy Fri-Yay! Sweater season is in full effect and I love a good off the shoulder sweater! This cute powder pink sweater is new season from H&M, it's currently sold out online but I'm sure you can still find it in store :). These furry slides from the Rihanna x Puma collection have consumed my life since early summer, they're sold out now, but luckily for you I found a similar pair for half the price! My cute pouch is from a new upcoming online store [OR] who not only empower's women but sells cute office accessories for the working and everyday woman! Be sure to check them out!
Happy first official day of Fall! *pops champagne* I have been waiting for this moment since the start of Summer so you guys know I had to come through with a post :). Rocking my imitation suede coat from the Spring into the Fall by pairing a belt and booties for Fall. I love the different tones of brown in this look, it reminds me of when the leaves change color. Have a great rest of the week!
Happy Wednesday everyone! Let me start by saying "Yes, I'm wearing shorts" lol. I took this lightweight oversized bomber and belted it to turn give the appearance of a high low dress. As you now by now, I love transitional pieces, so I'll for sure be turning a lot of my Spring jackets into dresses this Fall.
Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone had a fabulous Labor Day Weekend and a good day back at work yesterday! Just when I thought the Fall temperatures were kicking in, summer decided to be stubborn and bring its hot temps back *insert thumbs down*. So I'm just going to slowly keep transitioning my wardrobe until it's officially here :).
Who said you can't transition seasons by wearing some of your favorites at once? A classic tie knot dress, faux fur clutch and loafers has me Fall ready. I'm also wearing a new shade from my Marie Hunter Luxury Matte Lipstick Collection called 'Merlot'. These aren't like your traditional Matte lipsticks where they leave your lips dry, peeled and chapped so be sure to checkout the new shades. New lipsticks means new wardrobe! Chunky oversized sweaters, sweatshirts and loafers, oh how I cannot wait to wear you :).
Happy Wednesday! We've made it half way through the week! Wednesdays have become my favorite day because I get to attend my weekly Mompreneur Mastermind Group meeting. Anyway back to this post, can we talk about how I've been literally living in these Leadcat Fur Slides since I got them? They're so comfy, stylish and a MUST have. I have them in black, pink and the newest gray color. Oh and just an FYI, I'm starting Fall early, so I'll be transitioning my fall pieces into my summer outfits :) Have a great rest of the week!
Happy Fri-yay! I don't know about you guys, but I am sooooo ready for Fall! This off and on humidity we have been experiencing here in Madison has not been my cup of tea *insert thumbs down*. Next week I'll be doing a KUWK post to let you all know what I have been up to since my last post so stay tuned. Have a glamorous weekend!
Happy Monday!I hope everyone had a glamorous weekend.Pairing up red and blues today and I must say I'm digging it. To top it off, I paired this orange hued lipstick for some fun, it's currently on sale so check it out!
Dreamer, Believer, Doer, that is the motto. When I saw this sweet undiscovered little gem I knew it would be the perfect location for a photoshoot! I've been working hard on growing SBK and MHB and I appreciate all the love and support I receive from you all on a daily basis. Today will be a glamorous day, claim it, own it, pop open some bubbly!
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a glamorous weekend! As you have probably noticed by now, I'm addicted to A+O, especially the Stace Face items. I hunted these shoes down for MONTHS and of course they sold out quickly when they relaunched last fall, but luckily for you, I've found a wedge pair that are just as cute. Have a productive week!
Happy Fri-Yay! I hope everyone has been having a productive and glamorous week :). Today I'm mixing textures and tones, you can never go wrong with a little leopard print and these Steve Madden sneakers are always one of my go to items. The entire Marie Hunter Vibrant Lipstick collection is almost completely sold out! Thank you all for supporting my brand and stay tuned for the new fall product coming soon!
Hey all I'm back! Sorry I was away from my Glamourland for so long, I wasn't feeling well due to a strained muscle tendon near my sternum but it's slowly starting to heal so SBK is back in action! It's kind of crazy how not doing pictures for two weeks made me feel like a newbie again during this shoot, I have got to get my mojo back :/.
Today I chose to play with textures and prints for this fun colorful look. Green and yellow are complimentary colors that really make one of my favorite skirts pop. Plus, I just like to look for any reason to use my Rebecca Minkoff Velvet Love Crossbody's ;). Have a glamorous day!
Happy Monday/4th of July! I hope everyone has been having a fabulous weekend! Bringing back my tomboy chic vibes today with a little edginess added in. I finally found my missing suspenders so you'll probably be seeing them a lot more now lol. I know its summer and everyone likes wearing color, but like the good saying goes "I'll stop wearing black when they make a darker color". Have a productive week!
As with every summer, I feel like we literally skipped spring and hopped right into this blazer heat that I for one am not fond of. It's been super hot and humid here in Madison lately so when we got one day of 70 degree temps I took full advantage!
Duster coats are perfect for warmer months as they are super light weight and can be styled with any of your summer garments. I love a good transitional garment that I can wear during any season. Also, I love my entire Marie Hunter lipstick collection, but for some reason I can't seem to keep my lips off Ex-Factor lipstick, you ladies should differently get your hands on it as it is flattering for every skin tone. Have a glamorous weekend!
P.S., the ENTIRE MH Vibrant Lipstick Collection is on sale while supplies last! :)
Happy Hump Day! Today in my Glamourland I've teamed up with Micha Store Chicago to show you how I wear their Sephia Gold Statement Scarf Necklace. While I love a good bold statement piece, I don't like wearing larger pieces in the summer, plus who says that dainty accessories can't make the same statement? This necklace could also be paired with a solid tee and jeans to add some flare. Also, they have the cutest packaging and super fast shipping!
Styling tip: I had some trouble keeping my necklace in place as it just loops through the circle like a scarf would and as you can see I'm wearing a lower cut dress. I knotted my necklace in the back so it could stay put how I wanted it too. If you were to pair it with a different top or dress you more than likely won't have the issue I did as you could wear the necklace lower and not as high as I did :).
Thank you Micha Store Chicago for partnering on this post.
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! People were loving my "dress", little did they know it was pants and a top. This seasons rave is all about off the shoulder and wide leg looks. Today I've teamed up with some bloggers from all over the world to show you how we style the trend. Be sure to check out these ladies blogs they are pretty darn glamorous.
P.S., I am definitely loving all of this black girl magic happening in my Glamourland today :).
Happy first day of summer! I say that as if I'm really excited about it but in reality I'm already thinking about fall :). Who else hates the heat of the summer? Let's not all speak at once, lol! Even though it's tremendously hot out, I still like to layer, it's always freezing inside of a store or restaurant so for me two shirts are better than one. My skirt is from last season, but fortunately for you I found it online for about 65% off the retail price, my shoes are currently on sale as well! Don't worry, you can thank me later ;). Have a glamorous Monday!
Fri-Yay, my favorite day of the week just like this tassel blazer is one of my favorite statement pieces! I love statement pieces that can be dressed up or down, it adds a certain flare to my minimalist style. Also, I can't get enough of my Marie Hunter Ex-Factor lipstick, it's seriously the perfect poppy red perfect for any skin tone. Hope everyone has a glamorous weekend, it's going to be a hot one!
Happy Monday, I hope everyone had a glamorous weekend! I totally forgot I had these Steve Madden booties until I saw a post on IG that reminded me that I too own them and needed to whip these babies out again.
As I mentioned last week, I'll be on Girl Talk show on the CW Network all this week promoting Marie Hunter Beauty. Check out KUWK to see the channels and times my segment will be aired. Let's get this Monday started!
Happy Fri-Yay! This week sure has flown by thanks to the 3 day weekend! Let's all choose to be productive today and end the week with a bang :D.
P.S., I'll be featured on the Girl Talk show on the CW Network talking about Marie Hunter Beauty, the show will be aired Monday - Sunday of next week so stay tuned as I will be posting the air times and channels!
Maximizing my wardrobe is important to me, while I do love to shop, I like to shop smart for items that are versatile and classic. As you have noticed by now, I'm a true minimalist when it comes to style. Today I'm wearing this Who What Wear trench vest as a dress with the Henri Bendel Jetsetter purse and my favorite A+O Stacey Face heels for a playful twist. You can easily pair this look with a pair of sneakers or Sperry's for a chic off duty look. Also, I think this MH Ex-Factor lipstick will be my staple color for summer. This poppy red shade literally goes with everything! Hope everyone has a glamorous day!
Happy Hump Day! I have a rant today. I'm a HUGE online shopper, so I notice everything when it comes to shopping online at my favorite retailers, things such as random price changes *insert angry face*. As I went looking for the link for these Zara Roman Sandals I noticed a drastic price change as if the original price never existed! (Pulling a Asos move Zara?) I paid $239 for these shoes and now they're $179, I didn't wear them until a few weeks after I purchased them and noticed the quality doesn't match the price. Oh well, we win some and we lose some, but since Paul Andrew Gladiator sandals don't fit into my budget these will do ;).
Happy Monday! *sips coffee* It was a BEAUTIFUL weekend here in Madison and a busy one at that! I attended the first inaugural Black Women's Leadership Conference to promote my Marie Hunter Beauty brand while having the chance to learn from and connect with other empowering women, did bridal makeup for a wonderful group of ladies and yesterday was a chill day to prepare myself for this week. Now back to this post....
I'm 5'2, so wearing midi and calf length skirts can be a struggle without a pair of heels. Speaking of heels, these fabulous A+O heels I'm wearing are currently on sale so get your hands on them while you can! And I believe this skirt is now sold out online but hopefully you can still find it in your local H&M store. Thanks for reading ;)
Happy Fri-Yay! Playing with a ton of color today, and of course it's yellow, it's one of my favorite colors! Never be afraid to play around with different shades of one color because they will always compliment each other. Have a glamorous weekend!
I remember when there was a time when I didn't wear white, now white is a staple in my wardrobe. Best part is, I actually made it through the entire day without getting dirty, yay me! Most people aren't fond of linen because of how easily wrinkled it gets, but I love it for those days when it's not too cold but not too hot which makes it perfect for layering. Have a glamorous day!
Happy Fri-Yay! SBK's two year birthday is coming up on Monday and I'm so ecstatic! I'll be making a KUWK post that day to keep everyone up to date with what's been going on in my Glamourland :)
Any who, back to this ootd the post. I LOVE the contrasting gold metallic heels on these boots! I paired it up with this denim oversized shirt dress for a casual out and about look. Let's end this week with a bang!
I'm pretty sure I got a stain on this trench within the first ten minutes of wearing it *insert sad face here*. Why must white be such a lovely but scary color to wear? Hope everyone has a glamorous day!
Happy Fri-Yay everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, this Wisconsin weather has been bipolar. One week its sunny and 75, the next week its cold, rainy and 40! I definitely have an obsession with bows, so this oversized bow blouse from H&M was a must have! I immediately thought of the Kate Spade oversized bow blouse when I saw it. Get your hands on it while you can as it keeps selling out online quickly.
This dress is a classic staple in my wardrobe, later in the day while wearing it with these red booties as a pop of color I started to remind myself of a modern day Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (one of my favorite movies).
Last season Paul Andrew had an amazing pair of gladiator sandals that I missed out on, so this year when a similar pair popped up at Zara (for a tremendously lower price point) I purchased them without hesitation! Just a heads up, these sandals will be on repeat all spring and summer.
An arsenal of moto jackets is a must have in my wardrobe. When I saw this unique sky blue color at Zara I couldn't pass it up. The cropped style makes it perfect for layering, I obviously love this style because I have the same jacket in 3 colors :).
When I first purchased this jacket I was on the fence about it, but then I felt like eventually I would regret not buying it so I just went ahead and purchased it. Let me tell you, always follow your gut instinct! This is now one of my favorite outwear pieces and I get a ton of compliments whenever I wear it!
These Aritzia leggings were bookmarked on my phone for several months, I just couldn't justify the hefty price tag for a pair of leggings. Now that I can feel why the price tag is hefty, I just want to live in these! I plan to purchase the charcoal color eventually, because sometimes you just have to treat yourself.
Pink is my current obsession, which is strange because the only pink I've ever liked is a good pink lipstick. The Rebecca Minkoff Melissa trench was on my spring wish list but my size sold out fast so I had to opt for a different pink trench and this H&M one isn't the same style, but the color is perfect.
Can we talk about these lemon colored heels for a second?! We all know yellow is one of my favorite colors and these will definitely be in heavy rotation. A+O makes my favorite style of heels and she always make fab patterns and colors. The downside is that you have to purchase her items when you see them, everything always sells out quickly :(.
First off, while I'm obsessed with this A+O keychain, it doesn't work very well as a bag charm. My secret for using it as a bag charm is to tie a little string through the key ring and loop it through your handbag. Even then you can never really tell how fab it really is :( Secondly, Rihanna did her thing with these sneakers! They're so comfortable! I imagine this is what walking on clouds would feel like. Thirdly, everyone needs this Henri Bendel bag, enough said.
