"Stepping onto a brand new path is difficult, but not more difficult than remaining in a situation which is not nurturing to the whole woman." -Maya Angelou
Over the past few weeks, I've been thinking about my career and life goals more frequently. I've wanted to relocate to New York since I was 17, but that has yet to happen. I've also always wanted to live in Europe, but the chances of that happening is slim to none. As I get older I realize that time waits for no one, and its about time I switch gears. As I research and familiarize myself more on the fashion industry, it seems to be that LA is the best place for me to be.
I'm a midwestern girl, always have been, always will be, so the thought of relocating elsewhere is petrifying. I've never been to LA, nor have I ever thought about going, but I think its time I take a small vacay and see what California has to offer. I have about five months to decide where I want to start my new journey, but I know that no matter where I end up, it will all be a learning experience to get me to where I need to be. They say if you can't stop thinking about it, don't stop working for it, well I'm prepared to put in overtime!
With the holidays emerging, there's no time to visit LA, but I plan to do so in January or February. I also have a few other cities in mind that I would like to visit in the next five months to see what they have to offer for a hungry fashionista such as myself. I'll keep you guys updated of course, that is what this diary is all about ;).
Moral of the story, love what you do, and do what you love.
