Cooking, cleaning, homework, etc., we all know how busy and difficult motherhood can get and often times we get so wrapped in the lives of our children that we forget to take care of ourselves.
Having a newborn after 8 years has definitely been giving me a run for my money. Over the years I thought I perfected having great time management skills, these days I'm lucky if I get to shower. As the weeks have passed and I walk through life as a zombie I'm finally getting back on track. Here's how I make time for myself throughout the day, you can do the same once you decide on your priorities.
I've finally gotten Axel on a somewhat decent sleep schedule so once Cash heads off to school the hustle and bustle of my day begins and I start my routine. Once you get a sleep schedule going you can then prioritize tasks every 1-2 hours. My priorities?
- Coffee, emails, social media
- 15 minute cardio
- Spend at least 30 mins - 1 hour working on Marie Hunter Beauty
- Do some quick house cleaning
- Shower if possible
- Eat lunch if possible
- Emails and social media
- Dinner prep
- For self care, I usually do something like watch a episode of a tv show, straighten my hair, you know, typical girl stuff :)
In between those things I'm usually entertaining Axel and before I know it it's time to pick up Cash from school and well, we all know how quickly after school hours go. Mommin' ain't easy but somebody has got to do it ;).
