Personal Wine: Bottle of Wits Collection

Based on a scene from The Princess Bride, the Bottle of Wits collection contains two wines, “Inconceivable Cab,” and “As You Wish Chardonnay.” Famous artist David Irlanda created the custom artwork for the collection.

If you’ve already watched this cult classic film you’re quite familiar with this scene, if you haven’t don’t worry I’m here to fill you in! Westley, also known as Dread Pirate Roberts challenges criminal Vizzini to a battle of wits to death. Westley fills two goblets of wine and tells Vizzini that one contains a poisonous powder and places a goblet in front of each drink. Vizzini then has to figure out which goblet does not contain the poison. Vizzini is unaware that Westley is immune to poison and that both goblets have poison. Westley wins the battle and saves Princess Buttercup.

Made in Lodi, California, the As You Wish Chardonnay is medium bodied with balanced acidity. The nose has a bright tropical fruit flavor and finishes with a citrus lace taste. The Inconceivable Cab is a bold cabernet, it is predominately dark fruits with a hint of oak. It is full of plum and black cherry fruit and is balanced by firm acidity and tannins. It finishes off with a cedar and vanilla finish.

While they both are equally tasty, my favorite is the Inconceivable Cab, it pairs wonderfully with bold dishes such as beef or lamb. The As You Wish Chardonnay can be paired dishes such as fish or chicken.

Both bottles can be purchased as a set for $39.99 or you can purchase them separately for $22.99 each. Hurry and get your hands on this great limited edition collection before it is gone and also check out all the other custom wines Personal Wine has to offer!

Irresistible Me Clip-In Hair Extensions Review

As we all know, I’m a huge fan of short hair, and while I’m not ready to commit to a sew-in, clip-ins were the best options for me. Simple to apply, easy to wear and non-damaging to your natural hair, why wouldn’t I try it?!

What I Ordered:

Style: Silky Touch Clip-In Hair Extensions

Color: Silky Jet Black #1

Length/Weight: 16 inches, 140 grams

The Silky Touch hair is 100% Remy human hair. The thickness of the hair decreases towards the ends to give the most natural appearance possible. Silky Touch can be washed, cut, colored and styled with heat just like your natural hair!

Packaging/Shipping:

My ordered arrived so quickly I couldn’t believe it! Your order ships in a flat black tri fold box labeled “Irresistible Me Hair Extensions”. Inside the box you will find a red two compartment zip lock pouch, one side containing the test weft to make sure the hair is to your liking and the other containing your wefts. Be sure to not open the compartment containing the wefts, once the seal is broken the hair is non-returnable. The amount of wefts you receive will depend upon the grams you order, I ordered 140g and received 8 wefts:

- 1 Test Weft

- 1 Four Clip Weft

- 2 Three Clip Wefts

- 2 Two Clip Wefts

- 2 One Clip Wefts

The Verdict:

Once I tested the test weft and determined it was the right choice for me, I proceeded to open the second compartment and comb through the wefts to detangle them. Lucky for me, there were no tangles to begin with! The hair was securely tied in a rubber band and wrapped in a hair net. After straightening and curling the hair and using minimal product, the extensions kept their silky touch and natural shine, I got so many compliments when I went grocery shopping :). It took about 5 minutes to clip them in, and no more than 20 minutes top altogether with styling. And as you may have noticed, I don’t like spending a lot of time on my hair. Since I only ordered 140 grams, the extensions themselves didn’t feel to heavy and blended with my natural hair perfectly. I would highly recommend giving Irresistible Me a try if you’re bored with your short hair, or just want to add some length and/or fullness to your hair. The price is budget friendly as well!

Shop Irresistible Me today, you may just see me with long hair a little bit more ;)

Bronzed Goddess

I can't believe it's been almost two months since I last posted a secret! As you may have noticed, I've been a busy little working bee with setting up the SBK Office I'm practically finish now, just have to add some minor details :) With that being said, I'll get back to posting secrets 1-2 times a week! With summer officially only being a few days away, I wanted to fill you in on my top 3 products to get me through summer as a bronzed goddess.

1) Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder: Everyone raves about this bronzer and now that I've jumped on the bandwagon, it's a holy grail product for me during summer! The price tag is a little hefty, but definitely worth every penny! " I like to apply my bronzer at the hollows of my cheeks, temples, hairline, jawline and tip of the nose.

A legendary product, Terracotta was the first Guerlain bronzing powder. Given the status of a magical beauty product, Terracotta echoes the soft touch of the first rays of sunlight.

Light, translucent and luminous, Terracotta restores a natural healthy glow in a few strokes of a brush. Combining the sensuality of a natural tan with the voluptuousness of light textures and a velvety finish, Terracotta perfectly reproduces the golden and coppery shimmer of sunlight. Its formula, enriched with moisturising active ingredients, does not dry out the skin. It ensures long-lasting comfort.

The skin glows with an instant natural tan that is both matte and luminous. Subtly moisturized, it radiates with beauty. Terracotta is available in eight shades for all skin tones and comes in a non-refillable powder case.

2) Nars Illuminator: This product isn't just exclusive to summer for me because I use it all year round, but I definitely love it even more during the summer! It can be mixed with foundation or used as highlight. I like to mix mine with my foundation (you can also mix it with your moisturizer) to enhance your complexion with a sheer, luminous, shimmering incandescence.

3) Nars Body Glow: For the most part I use Vaseline with Cocoa Butter all year long, but for the days when it's too hot for Vaseline I resort to this amazing body oil!

The ultimate multi-purpose beauty oil soothes and moisturizes the skin with an addition of rich chocolate shimmer for a natural glow. Native to the South Pacific, the lightweight Monoï de Tahiti oil is composed of pure coconut extract macerated with the bud of the tiare flower (Tahitian gardenia), which infuses the oil with nutrients as well as a delicate, natural fragrance.

Gives skin a bronzed, radiant glow

Subtle tropical fragrance

Apply Body Glow immediately after showering for maximum hydrating benefits. Allow a few minutes for the product to absorb into the skin before getting dressed.

And this is how I achieve my bronzy, radiant, healthy looking complexion! What will you try?

High Waisted

I have aqua phobia, but I also have an obsession with cute swimwear. Just because I don't want to get in the water, doesn't mean I can't lay out near the pool and catch some rays and look cute while doing it right?

For me personally, after I had my son I adapted some "warrior marks", so I'm a little self conscious about wearing two piece swim wear so I resort to one piece nowadays. I stumbled across this amazing pair of high waisted denim bikini bottoms and just knew I had to share it with you guys! It even has a matching top! (Sold separately of course).

Click the title to check out the Nasty Gal Jean Genie High-Waisted Bikini Bottom's. Hope you like it as much as I do ;)

Trenches, Anorak's, Jackets OH MY!

I've been obsessing over the Marissa Webb Kayla Army Anorak since I first saw Marissa herself and Aimee Song of Song of Style sporting it. Unfortunately it retails for $695 and I can't justify spending that much on an anorak right about now. Then I recently discovered her Kayla Linen Denim Anorak ($625) and I've been dreaming about it non stop! Knowing me, I will eventually crack, but for now I've been seeking other denim options....

This is where Forever21 comes into play. I typically do not shop here but I recently came across a mustard trench coat that I needed (mustard is one of my favorite colors you know) and then I stumbled upon this cute denim trench! It's not per se Marissa Webb level, but its cute, chic, affordable and she owns a similar one herself so therefore it's a must have! Click the title and shop Forever21 Washed Denim Trench Coat, I hope you like it just as much as I do!

Prepping for Spring

I'm officially over winter, and Spring is officially 9 days away! *throws glitter* With that being said, its time to start prepping your closet for spring if you haven't already; and I'm going to give you some pointers on what to keep, what to toss and what items may have hope.

First, you're going to need four containers (or boxes, which ever you prefer). These four containers will be labeled "Keep", "Toss", "Maybe" and "Fixable".

Keep: Your keep container will contain everything you know for certain you will wear this season or next season. This will help you to separate your fall/winter clothing from your spring clothing. Once you have this sorted out, you can either keep you past season items in the container and put it in storage, or you can keep them in your closet and move your spring clothing to the front so they are more visible when getting dressed.

Toss: Personally, I have attachment issues and it's always really hard for me to throw things away. But while you're sorting through your possible "toss" items, there's a few things to keep in mind:

1) Is it wearable? And by wearable I mean is it full of holes? Is it full of rips? Is there an excessive amount of piling? If you answered yes, then sorry, but its got to go :(

2) Do you feel confident? And by this I mean is it flattering on your body? If its skin tight, or entirely too big more than likely you won't feel like you can conquer the world. Confidence is key, and your appearance plays a big role in feeling confident.

Maybe: Your maybe pile may consist of something that holds special value to you. Maybe a friend or family member gave it to you and it's not your style. Maybe you wore it to a special event or you feel like you have good luck when you wear it. With this I say place it back into your closet with the hanger facing opposite of your other hangers, if you notice that the hanger has not been flipped after 90 days, then toss it! But there's one exception, if it truly has memorabilia vibe to it, keep it in a safe storage area.

Fixable: Fixable. If this is a item that is missing a button, needs some tailoring, hemming, etcetera and you know you're going to wear it, then place this back into your closet. If after 90 days its still unfixed, then sorry, its got to go!

I hope these tips help you get prepped for Spring! You can also use these same steps when prepping your shoes for spring. How do you do your spring cleaning?

How To: Remove Piling

Piling. Every persons worst nightmare. Piling occurs from short or broken fibers on the surface of clothing during laundry. I purchased a fabric shaver, and it sucked! I ended up returning it, I would much rather use that $12 on something else more worthy. So after experimenting I found the most effective solution and I'd like to share it with you!

Now by no means necessary is this tip any secret, but I didn't believe it would be effective until I tried it myself. The most effective piling removing trick I have tried is using a razor. Yep a razor. It is more efficient and cheaper than investing in a fabric shaver that won't even begin to get the job done.

What is your favorite way to remove piling?

Casual Wear

Every morning I like to wake up and check out the new arrivals section at all of my favorite shopping places. While doing so I came across these bad boys....

My style changes everyday, but I will always be a flats, oxfords and loafers kind of gal, so when I saw these Gucci loafers it was like love at first sight! I love the versatility of oxfords and loafers, you can dress them up or dress them down for a more casual appearance. These white grained slip-on loafers would be perfect with jeans and a blazer, jeans and a sweatshirt and many other options for the perfect relaxed weekend look. Trench Season

I don't know about you, but I'm definitely ready for winter to be OVER! Although I would like to receive all my packages I scored great deals on so I can wear them before winter ends :)

Spring is around the corner, which means Trench Coat shopping is in full effect! While I'm still obsessing over sleeveless coats because of their versatility, a nice trench is a must have! I found this Glamorous Emory Cocoon Coat on Nasty Gal. One, the color is amazing! It's a deep beige that would suit any skin tone! Two, with this design, you get the best of both worlds, a cocoon silhouette with trench details. Click the title to check out it out!

How To: Remove Wrinkles from Leather

I have two handbags that were suffering from some serious wrinkles|mishaping. One was my fault from not storing it properly, the other is because it was shipped to me that way. I tried the whole "stuffing the bag to maintain its shape", but in the case of my travesty it wasn't helping with the wrinkles.

So, like the crafty and curious person I am (insert embarrassed face here), I attempted to get rid of the wrinkles by ironing the inside of my bag (you can call me stupid now, but hey, you won't know if it works or not unless you try it). And no, it didn't work, but I did almost burn my hand and my purse lol. But I researched and found a better way to remove those wrinkles from your leather :)

Take your blow dryer, if you're a little cautious start out by using the low heat setting, I used the high heat setting for faster results. Apply the heat to the area in which you would like to remove the wrinkles. I placed high heat in the wrinkled area(s) until I felt the area was warm enough. The heat will loosen up the wrinkles|creases. Then take a soft cloth and gently rub the wrinkles out. Repeat until you've reached your desired wrinkle-free level.

If you didn't already know about this little tip, I hope it comes in handy for you :)
